As the Coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent lockdown has derailed the preparations of many IAS/IPS aspirants, most candidates want the UPSC Civil Service Examination 2020 to be postponed from the scheduled date (May 31, 2020).
Several candidates are running online petitions urging the government and UPSC to postpone the exam.
Many senior MPs, like Sashi Tharoor, has asked the Centre to clarify on Civil Services Exam (CSE) 2020 date.
Even though UPSC is yet to take a call on this issue, it seems highly likely that the Preliminary Exam will be postponed – at least by a few weeks.
If Prelims is postponed, candidates will get additional time to learn, revise, practise, and polish the exam skills
