Global economy has entered recession as bad or worse than in 2009: IMF
International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva on Friday announced that amid the coronavirus crisis, the global economy has entered a recession "as bad or worse than in 2009". Georgieva added that the IMF's estimate for the overall financial needs of emerging markets is $2.5 trillion. "We do project recovery in 2021," she further said.
