On 5th August the special status of J&K ( Article 370) was revoked. This led to the end of the special status given to the people of J&K.When the article 370 was in effect, no non resident of Jammu and Kashmir was allowed to buy land and get job in Jammu and Kashmir.
Due to the article 370 people of Jammu and Kashmir enjoyed their own Constitution, flag and citizenship. By article 370 people of Jammu and Kashmir were not able to enjoy the fundamental rights and RTI act. The people of Jammu and Kashmir were deprived from the various scheme that were provided by the centre to other states
When article 370 was in effect the women, SC, ST were not getting political reservations.With the revocation of this article the women, SC, ST got a chance to contest elections as the proof is from recent Block development chairman (BDC) elections where many women, representives from SC, ST were elected.
With the Abbrogation of Article 370 this gave the chance to the many bussiness men of the country to invest in Jammu and Kashmir. With their investment in the Jammu and Kashmir there were be increase in the job and there will be economic development in the state.
This will boost the many sectors of Jammu and Kashmir e g Tourism, health, education.
From 31st October 2019 Jk and Ladakh will be two different Union Terrritores. Where Jammu Kashmir will be Union territory with legislative assembly and Ladakh will be Union territory without legislative assembly.Jammu Kashmir will have Girish Chander Murmu, a senior IAS officer, as first Lt Governor and Former defence secretary R K Mathur as first Lt Governor of strategically located Ladakh. Now both the Union territories will be controlled by Centre and this will led to the huge development in the both the Union territories.
